Still deciding
It's week 3 and I have still not decided on a topic for my final project. I just found the section on our course website with examples of what students have done in previous terms. I think this will prove to be pretty helpful in my quest. Over the weekend, I thought I might do a work-related topic for my site. If I did this, I could reuse some of the content from my class project for the research guides I create at work. For example, I could create a site about job search resources for specific fields of interest (i.e. architecture, fashion, digital media, etc.) But after looking at the types of sites people have created for this project in the past, I'm not so sure this idea will work. The research guides I create at work are just lists of the best websites, books and databases for finding information on a particulat career-related topic and I'm not sure how this would translate that into a site that has a homepage, about page, etc. I'll have to give it a little more thought.

Don't feel bad, I have not chosen a topic for my final website either. I think you should either choose something you know very well, or that interests you. That way, it will either be easier or more fun...or both.
I'm still deciding too. I have some ideas, but not so sure that they would come together for 5-8 pages.
I didn't think it would be so hard to come up with ideas for a website, but I guess you have to stay within the course requirements which makes it a little more difficult. I have to look over what we need to do again, but maybe you could make each list a different page - list the books, websites, and databases on one page for one career topic, another topic on another page, etc. Then maybe the homepage and about me page could be an introduction to these lists and a table of contents for your website?
